Miceli's

Overview

When you step into Miceli's, located at 3655 Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90068, you're in for a dining experience that combines the charm of old-school Italian comfort food with the laid-back vibe of Los Angeles. It’s one of those places that feels like it’s been around forever, and in a way, it has. Since opening in 1949, Miceli’s has served generations of families, tourists, and locals with a menu that features everything from classic pastas to mouth-watering pizzas.

The restaurant itself is an iconic spot in the Hollywood Hills, nestled right near the bustling tourist attractions but offering a much-needed escape from the crowds. You walk in and immediately notice the inviting atmosphere-bright lights, red-and-white checkered tablecloths, and a welcoming, slightly nostalgic vibe. It’s the kind of place that feels like home, whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning after years.

The menu is a true testament to Italian-American comfort food, with something for everyone. For those craving pasta, dishes like spaghetti with marinara or the creamy fettuccine Alfredo are standout options. Each bite of the pasta seems to tell a story-soft, perfectly cooked noodles paired with sauces that have just the right balance of flavor. The marinara sauce, rich with tomatoes and herbs, has that comforting, homemade quality that takes you right to a small Italian kitchen.

If you're in the mood for something heartier, the lasagna at Miceli's is not to be missed. Layers of tender pasta, seasoned beef, ricotta, and mozzarella come together in a dish that hits all the right notes. It’s generous in portion, which makes it perfect for sharing (if you’re not too hungry to finish it all yourself).

One of the highlights of dining here, however, is the pizza. The thin-crust pizza at Miceli's is crispy without being too crunchy, and the toppings are always fresh. Whether you go for a classic Margherita or something a bit more adventurous, like the pizza topped with sausage, mushrooms, and bell peppers, the flavors are always bold, and each slice is loaded with ingredients. It’s a great choice if you’re dining with a group, as the pizzas come in large sizes meant for sharing.

It’s not just about the food, though. The service is warm and attentive, giving you a true sense of the family-run nature of the place. The staff knows the menu well, and if you need any recommendations, they’re always ready to guide you to something that fits your tastes. One thing that really stands out at Miceli's is the casual yet professional service, making the experience feel relaxed while still ensuring you’re well taken care of.

If you’re lucky enough to visit during live music nights, you’ll get to enjoy some additional entertainment. The sounds of the piano or occasional live singer can really add to the already lively atmosphere. It’s one of those touches that makes dining at Miceli's feel a bit more special.

For those keeping an eye on the drink menu, Miceli's also offers a solid selection of wines and cocktails to complement the meal. You’ll find everything from affordable house wines to more upscale selections, making it easy to pair the right drink with your dish. There’s something about enjoying a glass of wine with a plate of pasta that feels just right, and at Miceli's, they make sure the pairing is always perfect.

Despite its long history, the restaurant keeps up with modern expectations. The interior is clean, well-maintained, and features subtle touches of Italian decor that don’t overwhelm the space. Whether you're there for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner with friends, you’ll find the environment both comfortable and charming.

Whether you’re in the area for a Hollywood tour or live nearby, Miceli's is one of those local spots that continues to delight. It's a perfect place for a relaxed meal with family or friends, and for many, it's a tradition. If you’re looking for a place that’s consistently good and never disappoints, this is the spot to check out. Whether you're a local or just visiting Los Angeles, make sure to stop by Miceli's at 3655 Cahuenga Blvd to experience a bit of Italian warmth in the heart of Hollywood.

I’ve been coming here for years, but I had not been in for a very long time until I decided to grab lunch today. Always love the warm inviting atmosphere with Italian music over the speakers and all the fabulous comfortable booths & decor. I love on dinner service how they have their servers singing and they’re all very talented singers! I started with a nice glass of petite Syrah and then ordered the chicken picante. Chicken was very tender, and the dish was very flavorful. Abundant portion as well. Service was excellent. Speedy and friendly. My only complaint is the prices have gone up exponentially. But I still highly recommend this establishment.

Alonna was absolutely amazing. I am very particular and she handled me like a pro. She’s very intelligent and she knows the restaurant business. We started off with a meat lovers pizza after that was served. We ordered the special lasagna after we split that we had two desserts when was the warm apple pie à la mode and the other one was the tiramisu Alonna did it all perfectly

What a great experience. Absolutely love this place. 1st time visiting and will be back every time I come to the area. The food was amazing and the singing/piano was perfect! Our waitress had a beautiful voice! She was a high school student, but provided great service. Highly recommend, total old world Italian feel..

The food was fantastic. Gluten free crust pizza, meatballs and Lasgna. I couldn't have been happier, until I saw Peroni beer on tap. The atmosphere was fun and entertaining. I wasn't expecting our waiter to sing opera!

It was an amazing experience! We have our server taking our order one minutes and the next she was up in the stage singing so beautifully that I was wondering why she wasn’t on American Idol!! I wouldn’t even come back because of the food, but the atmosphere just makes it all worth it!
